Download It!

Download anti-virus and other pre-configured software that make it easy to securely connect to the U-M computing environment, ITS services, and the Internet.

Select your operating system in the orange box above and login with your uniqname and UMICH Kerberos password.

"We can provide updated software and new services as they become available rather than waiting to create a Blue Disc CD as we used to do," said Jeff Cohen of ITS's Software Packaging Team.

Before downloading, users must log in with their uniqname and UMICH Kerberos password. The site then displays only those items that the specific user is licensed to have. The application behind the download site stores information about each download in a database, allowing ITS to track the distribution of licensed software as required by many software vendors.

If you have questions or comments about the new Blue Disc web site, or if you are interested in using the download application in your own U-M department or unit, contact the Blue Disc team.

HINT: If you have a slow Internet connection at home, download the software installers at a Campus Computing Site and copy them to a portable medium, such as a CD or USB key drive.

NOTE: Software available from the Blue Disc website is licensed only for University of Michigan students, staff, faculty members, or U-M Online subscribers.
