How do I make a calendar item out of an e-mail from someone not on the Exchange server?

Outlook FAQ

  1. Drag the e-mail message to the Calendar icon in the bottom left corner of your Outlook window.
  2. A new appointment window will open with the title of the e-mail Subject heading.
  3. Set the date and times for the meeting.
  4. Click OK.

The e-mail message will appear in the Notes section of the appointment.
