This section is for departmental Exchange administrators and IT staff charged with maintaining the department's Exchange service. Users of the Exchange service should instead refer to the Using Exchange section.

End users wanting services or having questions should contact their department Exchange administrator. Departmental system administrators who want to place requests for particular services can use the Requests page. Sys Admins can direct questions to the Exchange support address.
Unit system administrators can call this number 24 hours a day for emergency support of this service. After making initial contact with the Operation staff, you can expect a callback from the service on-call person within 30 minutes if there is a suspected problem with the Exchange Infrastructure that is causing widespread impact to a large number of users or is a significant security issue.
Notices of outages and maintenance are recorded on the ITS status website, where they are publicly available. However, this site will include Exchange notifications as well as those for other ITS services.

If you would like an existing MCommunity Directory group (for example, IT support or helpdesk group) to receive notices, send a request to the Exchange support address, including the name of the group to be added. Note that the messages sent to this group are crafted for technical support and may not be understood by end users. You should handle communications with your end users in the manner you have developed for your unit.
