Calendaring Best Practices

ITS has identified issues with "disappearing" calendar events and events with incorrect information. The following practices will help eliminate these issues.

Use the most current OS version available on mobile devices

Limit the number of delegates who have access to your calendar

Fix corrupt meetings

Schedule end dates for recurring meetings

Outlook 2007 Outlook 2010 Outlook 2011
  1. Open Calendar
  2. In the top menu, Select View > Current View > Recurring Meetings
  3. Sort by Recurrence Range End
  4. Update any meetings listed as "No end"
  1. Open Calendar
  2. In the top menu, Select View > Change View > List
  3. Sort by Recurrence Pattern
  4. Update any meetings listed as "No end"
  1. Open Calendar
  2. In the toolbar, click on the List icon
  3. Select Month to see Recurrence Patterns
  4. Update any meetings listed as "No end"
