What Is MPrint?

MPrint is a web-based application that lets you print to certain campus printers from any computer that has web access. Basically, MPrint uploads the file you want to print to a web server and then uses the web server to send the file to any campus printer that has been set up to work with MPrint. This includes printers in the Campus Computing and ResComp Sites, as well as some printers at U-M Libraries.

What File Types Can You Print?

MPrint supports the following file types, but the preferred type is PDF (Portable Document Format):

.ai, .bmp, .c, .cpp, .csv, .doc, .docx, .eps, .gif, .h, .ico, .jp2, .jpeg, .jpg, .m, .odf, .pdf, .php, .png, .pps, .ppsx, .ppt, .pptx, .ps, .psd, .py, .rtf, .tif, .tiff, .txt, .xls, .xlsx, .xml, .xps

MPrint Locker

Enabling MPrint Locker will allow you to upload documents to a secure space for later use. Once in your Locker, a document can be sent to any available printer via the MPrint web application.

A folder will be created in your personal IFS home space named "MPrint" (if it does not already exist). A document uploaded via MPrint Locker will be placed into this folder (and will overwrite if the file exist). All documents in this folder will be made available to print via the MPrint Locker feature.

Note: MFile IFS must be enabled to use this feature.
