Maintenance and Monitoring

Staff are on call 24/7. In addition, they conduct regular maintenance during hours of low use that may occasionally cause temporary outages.

Type of Outage or Maintenance Days Performed Time of Day (All times are EST) Notes
Routine Monitoring Weekdays 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Staff will address problems as soon as possible, including during on-call hours when necessary.
Routine Reboots Sunday 5:00 a.m. Users may not start new connections between 4:00 and 5:00 a.m., but prior connections are okay.
Non-routine Reboot Any day 12:00 a.m.–6:00 a.m. Staff will provide 1/2 hour notification if a reboot is required.
Extended outages for hardware upgrades and other maintenance procedures Saturday or Sunday 12:00 a.m.–6:00 a.m. Staff will notify users two days in advance of this more extended outage. A message will appear when users log in.
