General

• An Overview of the MCommunity Directory (R1462)
  This document provides an overview of the MCommunity Directory.

• Tips for Searching the MCommunity Directory (S4383)
  This document offers tips to help you find what you're looking for in the MCommunity Directory.

• When will my MCommunity changes be made?
  A list of typical wait times for changes to MCommunity individual and group profiles and for synchronization of changes to other systems.

Your Profile

• Managing Your Profile in the MCommunity Directory (S4380)
  This document describes how to find and change information in your profile in the MCommunity Directory via the web. Your directory profile contains information about how to contact you and more that is related to your affiliation with the University of Michigan.

• Forwarding or Redirecting Your U-M E-mail Using the MCommunity Directory (S4384)
  You can have the e-mail that is sent to you at your @umich.edu address forwarded to any e-mail account you choose. This is because when mail is sent to you at @umich.edu, U-M machines check the MCommunity Directory, then forward, or redirect, your mail on to the e-mail forwarding address(es) listed for you there. Use of the directory for e-mail forwarding means you can keep your @umich.edu address no matter where your e-mail mailbox resides.

Groups

• Managing Your Membership in MCommunity Directory Groups (S4381)
  This document explains how you become a member of groups in the MCommunity Directory and how you can get yourself removed from them.

• Managing Groups that You Own in the MCommunity Directory (S4382)
  This document contains instructions for creating, modifying, and managing groups in the MCommunity Directory. Note that only members of the U-M community who have their own directory profiles can create groups in the directory.

• MCommunity Groups in Google UMICH: Sending Email and Sharing Google Resources (R1466)
  MCommunity Directory groups are synchronized to Google UMICH. This allows you to use the groups not only for sending email, but for sharing resources in Google. This document describes what gets synchronized, how groups are used for sending email, and how they are used for sharing resources in Google.

• Course Groups in MCommunity and Google (S4390)
  U-M instructors on the Ann Arbor campus can create groups of the people in their courses, based on data in Wolverine Access, using the MCommunity Directory. These groups are then synchronized to Google UMICH. The groups can be used for sending email and sharing Google resources. This document explains how to create course groups and use them.

LDAP and Administrative Access

• LDAP Access to the MCommunity Directory (R1463)
  LDAP access to MCommunity Directory data will be provided via the MCommunity LDAP Tree. The LDAP Tree is an LDAP-accessible replica of the directory. This document provides general information about the MCommunity LDAP Tree, including a list of the most frequently used attributes.

• Administrative Access Instructions for MCommunity Directory Administrators (S4385)
  This document is for staff members who need administrative access to the MCommunity Directory. It provides instructions for using the administrative web interface to MCommunity, as well as information about the different access roles available.
