MCommunity is an enterprise directory and identity management system that allows the university to know who is and is not a member of the U-M community so that central officesas well as departments, schools, colleges, and campusescan grant and remove access to their online resources as needed and appropriate.
MCommunity supports NextGen Michigan.
Course groups facilitate course collaboration. U-M instructors on the Ann Arbor campus and their students can send email and share Google resources using course groups created in MCommunity from class roster information in Wolverine Access.
UMICH Password Hub. A password hub inside MCommunity synchronizes UMICH passwords to Active Directory (UMROOT) and Google UMICH, allowing members of the U-M community to use a single password for multiple U-M services.
MCommunity groups are in Google UMICH. This means the groups can be used for sharing Google resources.
