Subject: All MCommunity Data Feeds Now in Place
Hello U-M IT Staff,
On October 27, Flint student data was made available in MCommunity. All the planned data feeds are now in place. MCommunity contains records for faculty, staff, and students on all three campuses, as well as for retirees, alumni, and sponsored people. Our goal is to move toward live data connections in the future for all the MCommunity data sources. For now, some are batch feeds done at regular intervals.
Faculty, staff, and Ann Arbor student data: M-Pathways—live connection
Dearborn student data: Dearborn Banner (via Dearborn Data Warehouse)—nightly batch feed
Flint student data: Flint Banner (via M-Pathways)—weekly batch feed
Departmentally sponsored affiliates data: Sponsor System—live connection
Alumni data: Donor Alumni Constituent (DAC) database (via DAC Data Warehouse)—nightly batch feed six days a week (no update Sunday night)
U-M staff members who use the MCommunity Sponsor System will now be able to search for and find Flint students when they set up sponsorships. This will allow them to sponsor Flint students when necessary and avoid inadvertently creating duplicate records.
