The Ford School computing site is located in Room 3117 of Weill Hall on Central Campus. It is also known as the Hudak Computer Classroom.
The lab contains 33 Windows workstations that are maintained by Campus Computing Sites.
The Ford School computing site contains 3 black & white printers which can print 8x11 pages. The printers are available for all Faculty, Students, and Staff to use during normal operating hours. Black & White printing is included in the standard computing services. Electronic Classroom: The Ford School Hudak Computer Classroom is equipped with AV projection equipment. The classroom can be reserved through the Ford School. Information on reserving this classroom is available at https://www.fordschool.umich.edu/facilities/eventrequest.php.
Wireless Network: Weill Hall is included in the MWireless Network provided by ITCS. The MWireless Network is available to U-M students, faculty, and staff. Additional wireless information is available online at: http://www.itcom.itd.umich.edu/wireless/
Scanner Station: There are eight flatbed scanners available on a Macintosh and Windows full-use workstation. These scanners are available for all Faculty, Students, and Staff to use during normal operating hours. Additional information on scanning in Campus Computing Sites is available.
Adaptive Technology ErgoPod: There is 1 ErgoPod workstation located in the computing site. This workstation is designed to accommodate sitting and standing users as well as all types of wheelchairs. This platform was modified to include 2 CPUs (Mac and Win), closed circuit TV system, scanner, and flat panel attached to a monitor arm. A KVM switch is used to switch between the Mac and Windows workstation. Software is acquired from a special loadset supported by Campus Computing Sites and includes JAWS, Magic, Kurzweil 3000, Kurzweil 1000 and Dragon Naturally Speaking for the Windows and Kurzweil 3000 for the Mac. 64-SITES: If the printers or workstations in the site are experiencing problems, call 64-SITES (Option #1) to report the problem, and a staff member of the Sites Environment Support Team will be sent to troubleshoot the problem or restock the Site.
