The Shapiro Undergraduate Library is home to many General Use Computing Sites workstations:

Special Features

Electronic Classrooms: The Shapiro Undergraduate Library Windows lab (Rm 2054) is equipped with 26 computers, instructor station and AV projection equipment. The Shapiro Undergraduate Library Mac lab (Rm 2000) is equipped with 26 computers, instructor station and AV projection equipment. Information on reserving these rooms is available on the Classroom Reservations and Software Submissions website. These labs are not available for classes held weekly.

Color Printing: Color printing is available in the library to all current U-M students, faculty, and staff. Color printing is included in the standard computing services and will be charged against your total printing allocation ($24.00 allocation per term for students, $3.00 allocation per term for faculty and staff). The cost per impression is $0.23.

Scanners: There are several flatbed scanners installed at Macintosh and Windows full-use workstations. These scanners are available for all students, faculty, and staff to use during normal operating hours.

Wireless Network: MWireless is available throughout Shapiro Undergraduate Library.

4-HELP: The Shapiro computing locations are unstaffed sites. If the Sites are in need of maintenance, call (734) 764-HELP (764-4357) to report the problem, and a staff member of the Sites Environment Support Team will be sent to troubleshoot the problem or restock the Site.
