The Shapiro Undergraduate Library is home to many General Use Computing Sites workstations:
A dedicated Windows site with 26 workstations is located in room 2054. A dedicated Mac site with 26 workstations is located in room 2000. Black & white printers and flatbed scanners are available in both locations.
There are also several additional Sites computing resources available throughout the building.

Electronic Classrooms: The Shapiro Undergraduate Library Windows lab (Rm 2054) is equipped with 26 computers, instructor station and AV projection equipment. The Shapiro Undergraduate Library Mac lab (Rm 2000) is equipped with 26 computers, instructor station and AV projection equipment. Information on reserving these rooms is available on the Classroom Reservations and Software Submissions website. These labs are not available for classes held weekly.
Cyber Stations: This site contains email and web-only express stations are located at the front of the computing site. These stations provide quick access to the Internet and email without having to wait in line for a regular-use station.
Color Printing: Color printing is available in the library to all current U-M students, faculty, and staff. Color printing is included in the standard computing services and will be charged against your total printing allocation ($24.00 allocation per term for students, $3.00 allocation per term for faculty and staff). The cost per impression is $0.23.
Tabloid Printer: This site contains a black & white and color tabloid printer that prints 11x17 pages. The printer is available for all students, faculty, and staff to use during normal operating hours. Tabloid printouts are counted as two pages per side.
Scanners: There are several flatbed scanners installed at Macintosh and Windows full-use workstations. These scanners are available for all students, faculty, and staff to use during normal operating hours.
Site Access: This site will require key card access after building hours. Building hours are subject to change.
Adjustable Height Tables: This site contains some tables that easily adjust from a sitting to standing position.
Instructor Station: Both the classrooms at Shapiro have an instructor station for teaching convenience.
Wireless Network: MWireless is available throughout Shapiro Undergraduate Library.
4-HELP: The Shapiro computing locations are unstaffed sites. If the Sites are in need of maintenance, call (734) 764-HELP (764-4357) to report the problem, and a staff member of the Sites Environment Support Team will be sent to troubleshoot the problem or restock the Site.
