The Science Learning Center (SLC) computing site is located in Room 1720 of the Chemistry Building on Central Campus.
The Site contains 35 Windows and 26 Mac OS workstations that are maintained by Campus Computing Sites. The site also contains 3 black & white printers and 1 color printer.

Adaptive Technology ErgoPod: There is 1 ErgoPod workstation located in the computing site. This workstation is designed to accommodate sitting and standing users as well as all types of wheelchairs. This platform was modified to include 2 CPUs (Mac and Win), closed circuit TV system, scanner, and flat panel attached to a monitor arm. A KVM switch is used to switch between the Mac and Windows workstation. Software is acquired from a special loadset supported by Campus Computing Sites and includes JAWS, Magic, Kurzweil 3000, Kurzweil 1000 and Dragon Naturally Speaking for the Windows and Kurzweil 3000 for the Mac. Additonal Workstations: There are 7 iMac stand-up express stations. These stations have the full-use Mac loadset available, but are intended for use of 15 minutes or less.
Color Printing: Color printing is available in the SLC computing site to all current UM Students, Faculty & Staff. Color printing is not included in the standard computing services, and the cost per page will be $0.40 which will be billed to student or departmental accounts. Scanner Station: Several flatbed scanners available in the SLC computing site. Scanners are installed at both the Mac and Windows full-use workstations. These scanners are available for all Faculty, Students, and Staff to use during normal operating hours. Additional information on scanning in Campus Computing Sites is available.
Wireless Network: The Chemistry Building is included in the UM Wireless Network provided by ITCS. The UM Wireless Network is available to U-M students, faculty, and staff. More wireless information is available online at: http://www.itcom.itd.umich.edu/wireless/
64-SITES: The Science Learning Center computing site is a Staffed Site. If the Site is in need of maintenance, report the problem to the on-site staff. If the printers or Macs in the site are experiencing problems and the staff are unavailable, call 64-SITES (Option #1) to report the problem, and a staff member of the Sites Environment Support Team will be sent to troubleshoot the problem or restock the Site.
