Group AFS storage can help teams colocate files for easier collaboration.
Andrew File System (AFS)
AFS is a central file storage, sharing, and retrieval system for U-M faculty, staff and students. Group AFS is the same as personal AFS, but is accessible by a configurable group of people.
- Compatible with Macintosh, Windows, and Unix
- Users access the space by downloading SFTP software or using web-based MFile (on a Mac, AFS directories can be mounted as a disk)
- Andrew File System (AFS) technology, also referred to as Institutional File Storage (IFS) at U-M.
